5 stages of GDPR compliance in digital marketing

We are losing something we love so much. And it hurts.

Digital marketers and web analysts are going through 5 stages of accepting the loss of data:

😶 Denial. “Nothing is really changing, we can continue in the same old way. No-one will notice anything.”

😡 Anger. “The privacy lobby does not really understand how important data is for business & marketing. *%&€ them!”

💰 Bargaining. “If we just rephrase this popup, maybe we don’t have to change anything else?”

😭 Depression. “It is all over. We must return to untargeted mass advertising.”

👩 Acceptance. “One uses what one has, and there is work to be done.”
